James works on product, commercial and go-to-market strategies across all venture incubations, developing innovative solutions and bootstrapping technological expansion for both traditional finance players and digital natives. James has 15 years of investment banking experience in derivatives, sales, structuring and trading across a number of top tier banks and has been heavily involved in Web3 and digital assets markets for six years.

James’s deep understanding of digital asset markets and his extensive derivatives, trading and treasury experiences have been central to several digital business builds. Prior to joining Webⁿ, James worked at Brevan Howard in Alan Howard’s Family Office, focusing on principal investing across crypto, Web3, fintech and frontier technologies. Before this he was Co-Head of EMEA FX Hedge Fund Sales at RBS having held multi-asset trading, sales and structuring roles other banks.

James is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a Master of Arts in Finance and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Economics from Durham University. James has published financial, quant and regulatory papers about digital and traditional markets, most recently for the Digital Economic Initiative.
